My Baby Boy

I have four children and I thought that was going to be it. One night I had terrible cramps and started bleeding so I went to the hospital and they told me I was pregnant and that it was likely an ectopic pregnancy. I was going to lose the baby. I stayed over night for observations but didn’t lose it. A week later, I went back into the hospital for a check up and they said I wasn’t pregnant anymore. A couple of days later, I had cramps again so they did further tests and said I was still pregnant but will likely lose the baby. They gave me a laparoscopy to clear out my tubes but said they couldn’t find the baby. They were going to give me a D&C but I told them to wait. A week later I went back to the my doctor who did an ultra sound and found the heartbeat. She said she doesn’t know how this baby was still inside me but he was. I was afraid that he wasn’t going to be all right so I prayed. I had hope that he would be okay. He is now 10 months old and a healthy beautiful boy. If I had consented to the D&C, I would have lost him for sure, but something inside me told me to not give up and my little miracle was born.
